Asian Institute of Medical Sciences is the vision and dream of renowned surgeon, Dr. Narendra Kumar Pandey, FRCS (Edinburgh), FRCS (Glasgow ) FACS, FICS.

Best known for his work in minimal access surgery, Dr.Pandey was conferred with the Dr.B.C Roy National Award, the highest award in medicine instituted by the Government of India, on 1ST July, 2008 by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Pratibha Patil, for his pioneer work in Video Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS ).
